Sony drops new wave of downloads to PS3 store

Sony Corp.'s U.S. game division on Thurs. released a new wave of downloads to the Playstation Store for the Playstation 3 hardware.
New downloadable games and add-on content include Rocketmen: Axis of Evil, PixelJunk Monsters Encore, new Rock Band tracks, and the Guitar Hero III: Muse Track Pack.
New game demos include the Haze demo, The Bourne Conspiracy demo, and the GRID demo.
Additionally, new game videos include the WipEout HD Trailer, the Playstation 3 “What You Need” Video, Mirror’s Edge Gameplay Trailer, Mercenaries 2 Payback Trailer, The Wheelman Trailer, TNA iMPACT! Gamers’ Day Trailer.
NPD Group Inc. in Apr. reported that the PS3 sold 257,120 units in Mar. U.S. sales to rank as the No. 5 video game hardware for the month.
Current key titles for the PS3 include Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Grand Theft Auto IV, and Konami Corp.'s upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots in June.
